A TRA Member provided an innovative design solution for the construction of two penthouse flats for part of an elegant riverside development in East Anglia. The properties are predominantly of masonry construction but with a combination of 9m span trusses combined with extended leg monopitch trussed rafters to form the roof. |

| Another Attic Roof Example
Site and planning constraints and a desire to follow PPG3 led to another 'Room in Roof' solution using Attic trussed rafters. The development a mixture of 3, 4 5 and 6 bedroomed homes. Preserved trees on the site demanded the maximum use of vertical space. On the larger 6 bedroom homes 8.5m span RiR trusses gave a 6m room width. |

| Impressive Private House
An impressive private house built on the outskirts of a Warwickshire town made use of engineered timber trusses as part of a timber frame construction. A TRA member designed and manufactured both the timber frame and the bespoke girder trusses. A series of mono trusses were then coupled to carry purlins and loose rafters as well as bracing the roof. |
