UKCA reprieve for metal web joists

The recent announcement from the Government to delay to the deadline for introducing UKCA marking until January 2023 is good news for TRA members.

Those who manufacture metal web joists will be able to continue with the CE mark until statutory requirements for UKCA marking are put in place.

TRA chief executive Nick Boulton said: “This is no surprise but makes it clear that we can continue to use CE marking into 2022 and look forward to having a standard for both trussed rafters and metal web joists to simplify the marking process for our members.”
