Applications invited for Timber TED Course

TRA members are invited to apply for places on the timber technology engineering design course (TIMBER TED 1) at New Model Institute for Technology and Engineering (NMITE).
The 12 week-long course starts on 16th January and applications should be made as soon as possible to ensure a place.
Backed by Edinburgh Napier University and Timber Development UK, the course has been designed in response to the need to upskill and reskill the built environment professionals of the future to address the climate emergency. It’s ideal for those already working in technical sales, architectural assistants, technologists or trainee engineers and designers.
The course is being delivered with a blended approach online, and in person with three short (three day) residential weeks at Hereford and is split into three modules that cover design, materials and sustainability. The course will equip students to design and execute a built environment structure using timber as a structural material using the concepts of sustainability learnt on the course.
