This Posi-Rafter roof scheme for a project near Hull demonstrated the versatility and flexibity of the MiTek Posi-Joist system.
DWB Timber Engineering took full advantage of MiTek PAMIR software’s powerful layout, 3D and engineering tools to design the roof and produce detailed plans including some impressive 3D views, which the end client commented were ‘like Grand Designs!’
The use of Posi-Rafters meant that the client was able to hide their steel beams within the roof void, and deal with height variations of up to 130mm around the building. The installation costs were also significantly reduced and full calculations were provided for Building Control.
