Phase 1 of the Westley Green development by Redrow Eastern is now complete. Permission was granted in September 2015 and Redrow delivered 181 new homes with associated landscaping, car parking, site streets and infrastructure.
The Sales Centre was formally opened by the Mayor of Basildon, David Harrison and Redrow’s Eastern Regional Director Alex Stark. Trusses for the site were supplied by Robinson Manufacturing.
Robinson has a long-standing business relationship with Redrow and works across many of its divisions. Martin Underwood, Purchasing Manager for Redrow Eastern, said: “We are pleased to have Robinsons working with us on this development. Being local to the site helps the local community in terms of employment and reduces the carbon footprint.”
The Westley Green development is at Nethermayne, Basildon, and will eventually consist of 725 new homes, a new primary school, retail space, land to enable future expansion of the nearby St Luke’s Hospice, highway and access improvements as well as extensive open space. Redrow Homes was chosen by the HCA as its development partner for the scheme.
