Roofscape Design Awards 2027 – now open for entries!
18th October 2026
We’re excited to announce the launch of the Roofscape Design Awards 2027. They are now officially open for entries.
Help us celebrate the very best in trussed rafter design across the UK construction industry – enter your recent trussed rafter or metal web projects. You can also champion your colleagues’ hard work in the Individual categories.
The awards recognise excellence, innovation, and technical skill in the use of trussed rafters, shining a spotlight on the designers, engineers, and teams who bring complex roof structures to life.
Celebrating excellence across projects and people
The awards continue to highlight the creativity and expertise that define the trussed rafter industry. There are 6 categories in total, three celebrating project excellence and three recognising individual achievement.
The project awards honour outstanding design across residential, conversion and refurbishment, and commercial projects, from housing developments to technically demanding non-residential builds. Entries may be based on trussed rafters, metal web beams or combinations of the two and should a compelling narrative that highlights technical achievement, design quality, or professional growth.
The individual awards celebrate the people driving progress within the sector:
- Innovation Champion of the Year – recognising leadership in sustainability, technology, or operational improvement.
- Safety Champion of the Year – celebrating exceptional commitment to safe working practices.
- Career Development Champion of the Year – acknowledging dedication to learning, growth, and professional excellence.
The award categories are sponsored, with individual prizes presented to each winner.
“The judges always enjoy seeing the range of creative and technically impressive projects our members deliver,” said Nick Boulton, Chief Executive of the TRA. “If you’ve been involved in a great project, this is your chance to celebrate that success. I’d encourage all TRA members to take part and to encourage your colleagues to submit entries as well.”
